![]() ![]() ![]() Once that file edit had been saved, I needed to reload the theme so I changed from ‘Desktop: Arc-Dark’ to something else and then back again. Since I’m running cinnamon, I made the following edit: sudo emacs /usr/share/themes/Arc-Dark/cinnamon/cinnamon.cssĪnd changed the CSS to specify the font as follows: stage Unfortunately, despite those settings, the desktop fonts were not quite right on the top menu bar and it was clearly not finding the right font, so I needed to edit the Arc-Dark theme to specify that Roboto should be used. I selected the following configuration (see screenshot below): 1) Install Paper Icon theme sudo add-apt-repository ppa:snwh/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install paper-icon-theme 2) Install Arc theme sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install arc-icons arc-theme 3) Configure themes in system settingsįrom the desktop menu select ‘Preferences’ > ‘System settings’ > ‘Themes’.
